Join Kris, aka @artsnfartsnkris, who has made over 70 minizines since 2023, for this fun class where we’ll use our hands and accessible materials to make a piece of art. We’ll learn about the history of zines, peruse some examples from a mini zine library, and make our own 8-page minizine out of one sheet of paper!

Zines (pronounced zeen, short for magazine) are self created booklets about anything you want, usually copied and distributed in small quantities, and about niche topics. They are a DIY means of self expression, a publication that you don’t have to get permission from anybody to make and share. Participants who finish their zine in this 2.5 hour workshop will get to make copies to trade.
